Our Data Protection Conference and Freedom of Information Update 2011 will focus on the developments relating to data protection and freedom of information in Ireland. These developments continue at a considerable pace and require constant vigilance. There have been important developments in vetting of staff, use of CCTV and data sharing, whilst last year witnessed a huge rise in the number of breach notifications reported to the Data Commissioner.
