Tara has 20 years' experience in the field of Human Resources and is a member of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) and MII (Mediators Institute of Ireland). She started her career as a trainee on the IBEC Graduate Training Programme and spent several years advising companies on all aspects of employee relations and employment law matters. Previous positions she held include senior HR roles in Ulster Bank Markets and Abbey National Financial and Investment Services and Head of Member Communications in Mercer.

In 2008, Tara and 2 fellow Directors established a HR and pensions consulting firm called Attain Consulting which specialises in providing services in HR strategy, and employee relations, pensions and actuarial consulting, and financial strategy.

In 2009, Tara also joined the FirstCall HR expert panel of consultants who specialise in providing a range of conflict management services including  auditing policies, practices & procedures, mediating disputes, investigating  allegations and complaints and delivering training programmes.
