Ultan has 25 years’ experience in the field of Human Resources and currently provides a range of people management and leadership development services to leading Irish and international businesses through his consultancy company, CourtneyHR.

Previous roles include HR Director in C&C Group PLC, Superquinn and Waterford Foods, providing expert advice on all aspects of conflict management and HR.  He has also held a role in IBEC advising many companies on all aspects of HR and Employment Law.

Ultan is a lay member of the Law Society’s Complaints & Customer Relations Committee and is a former member of the Equality Authority. 

In 2009, Ultan established the FirstCall HR expert panel of consultants who specialise in providing a complete conflict management support service, ranging from investigations and mediation to restorative and preventative measures.  Ultan is the Managing Director of FirstCall HR. Ultan is a qualified Arbitrator, Mediator and Executive Coach.
