ByrneWallace is pleased to announce its sponsorship, for the second consecutive year, of the Annual Irish Software Awards, the flagship event run by Technology Ireland, the Ibec group that represents the tech sector in Ireland.

Now in its 25th year, the Awards recognise and celebrate Irish software and digital companies who have achieved exceptional success, developed innovative technologies and partnerships and achieved significant sales results over the past year. The 8 award categories are:

  • Digital Technology Company of the Year
  • Emerging Technology Company of the Year
  • Technology Innovation of the Year
  • Outstanding Achievement in International Growth
  • Digital Technology Services Project of the Year
  • Excellence in Talent Development Award
  • Multinational Corporation Initiative of the Year
  • Outstanding Academic Achievement of the Year

Commenting on the Awards, Catherine Guy, Managing Partner said, “ByrneWallace has a long history working closely with many Irish and international tech companies at all stages of their development. The sector is thriving and we are delighted to have this opportunity once again to work with Technology Ireland and Ibec and to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Ireland’s most innovative and forward thinking entrepreneurs who are driving growth within this key sector of the Irish economy.”

Paul Sweetman, Director of Technology Ireland added: “These Awards are a testament not only to the successful entrepreneurship within the technology sector in Ireland but also to the diversity of innovation among indigenous companies operating in the sector. Ireland is now a global powerhouse in digital technology, employing over 120,000 people in a multitude of business and technology roles, with businesses adding approximately 100 new jobs per week over the past five years. I am always amazed and inspired by the quality of applications to the Awards each year, particularly the new innovations and business prowess shown by our home grown companies.  Applying to our Awards will place a strongly deserved spotlight on their work and potential.”

Darren Daly, Corporate Partner and Head of Technology further added, “For a quarter of a century, these Awards have been celebrating the most innovative entrepreneurs and businesses in Ireland. As a leading law firm advising growing companies in the sector ByrneWallace is once again very pleased to sponsor this event on its 25th anniversary.”

The Awards ceremony will take place at the Mansion House in Dublin on the 24 November 2017 and all Irish software and digital technology companies are welcome to submit their entries by 30 September. To enter, visit www.technology-ireland.ie/awards
