This case concerned a claim that an employee was entitled to a contract of indefinite duration following employment on a series of fixed term contracts. She was successful in her argument in the Labour Court which held she was entitled to such as her employers had failed to provide a written statement of the objective grounds justifying the renewal of her fixed term contracts. The High Court agreed with this decision finding that the HSE had failed to discharge the onus of proof that such objective grounds existed.
