The purpose of the service is to provide employers with advice and information on employing, managing and retaining staff with disabilities and to enhance the confidence and competence of individual employers in this area. The ultimate aim is to promote increased employment of people with disabilities.

The service is managed by a consortium of employer organisations - Chambers Ireland, IBEC and ISME and it is a free government funded resource just for employers to ask any questions or queries that they have around recruitment or retention of employees with a disability.

What the service comprises of:

  • A dedicated phone line providing advice and information  to employers
  • A central web-based information resource http://www.employerdisabilityinfo.ie/
  • Using the current networks of the 3 employer bodies- chambers, Ibec, ISME
