Bryony Long is Co-Head of Lewis Silkin’s Data, Privacy & Cyber group. Their practice spans three core areas: data, privacy and cyber; technology and AI; and consumer and commercial law.

While their primary focus lies in data, privacy and cyber, they also bring a strong background in commercial, consumer and technology matters, advising clients regularly across all three domains.

In the field of data, privacy and cyber, they have advised a range of high-profile clients on complex data protection matters, particularly in relation to data collection, commercial exploitation, and corporate governance. Their experience includes handling several high-profile regulatory investigations for large multinational clients and advising on numerous data breaches. They hold the IAPP CIPP/E data protection and privacy accreditation and have spoken at various industry events on data, privacy and cyber issues.

From a commercial, technology and consumer standpoint, they possess extensive experience advising both suppliers and purchasers on a wide variety of commercial agreements. These include agreements for the supply of goods and services, software licensing and distribution, cloud services, agency and distribution arrangements, franchising, warehousing and logistics, sponsorship and ticketing, client/agency relationships, media buying, and confidentiality matters. They have also advised on e-commerce compliance and general consumer law, and have acted on behalf of well-known retailers in multiple consumer regulatory investigations.
