The updated Work Safely Protocol (the “Updated Protocol”) was published on the 17th of September 2021 ahead of the 20th September commencement of the phased return to the workplace. The Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Leo Varadkar has stated that this “marks another milestone in our recovery from the pandemic, with the phased return to the office beginning and indoor activities being permitted again. This updated Work Safely Protocol reiterates guidance, based on the most up to date public health advice, to keep workers safe”.
It is important to note that the guidance remains that employees and workers should continue to work from home, however, from the 20th of September, attendance at work for specific business requirements
