Background

The Complainant had worked for the Respondent since 2007 and had acquired a visual impairment following a serious illness in 2016. She alleged that, after returning to work, the Respondent had failed to provide reasonable accommodation, accessible training, and workplace support. She maintained that repeated requests between 2017 and 2024 had not been properly addressed, leaving her excluded from training and development opportunities. A 2024 workplace assessment had recommended specialist training, updated software, and assistive equipment, but she asserted that several recommendations remained outstanding. Training had sometimes been scheduled on days when she had not been rostered for medical reasons. She described an April 2024 meeting with management as upsetting
