"The development of AI is as fundamental as the creation of the microprocessor, the personal computer, the Internet, and the mobile phone. It will change the way people work, learn, travel, get health care, and communicate with each other. Entire industries will reorient around it. Businesses will distinguish themselves by how well they use it.” Bill Gates
AI is already being likened to the Industrial Revolution in terms of how it will shape the nature of work and how it is done.
Already some employers are looking to implement AI to secure a strategic business advantage. Others see it as a means of slashing or eliminating routine admin tasks freeing up many to focus on the core parts of the job they were recruited to do. Early studies suggest that AI can help improve levels of efficiency by 25% while improving quality standards too*. *September 2023 Harvard Business School
