This case concerned a claim of unfair dismissal by the respondent company. The claimant was dismissed by email following a number of contested allegations against him. The Court found that the applicant had been unfairly dismissed as he had not been afforded an opportunity to defend himself, contrary to procedural fairness and good practice and the provisions of the Code of Practice on Grievance and Disciplinary Procedure (S.I.
