Background

This case concerned the alleged failure by the Respondent to provide the complainant with a written statement of his terms of employment. The Court was satisfied that the Respondent had been generally compliant with the statutory requirement as they had provided a contract of employment, albeit it in respect of the second period of employment. The contract included the requisite details; that the position was temporary, the expected duration of the contract and the terms and conditions applicable.
